Everett Noel Catalog

$20.00

This non-archival newsprint catalog was printed to coincide with the exhibition Everett Noel at Blunk Space, July 1–July 16, 2023.

Noel (b. 1998) grew up in the Sierra Foothills of California, where he spent most of his time in the woods around his family home and made his first knife at age thirteen. He considers each of his meticulously handcrafted knives a functional piece of art, inspired by and contained within the forms and materials of nature. Each knife in the exhibition is in dialogue with a specific work by Blunk.

The catalog features photographs of new work by Everett Noel and images from his archive. A conversation between Noel and Mariah Nielson reveals why he started making knives, how Blunk informed the new work for his exhibition, and his favorite part of the knife-making process.
